Post is only the beginning

Anybody can edit a video.

Yeah fine we said it. But that’s not…art. That’s not the craft. The quest. The challenge.

Here at SBT, we’re obsessed with how a story can come together. And expand out. And grow beyond itself. And become something different, maybe totally different than when it was first born. For us, the main ingredients are chaos and imagination, and the recipe is always on fire. But the work is core and it’s beautiful and fun and we love it and we want to work with people who love it too.

Do you like getting a little lost in the details? Dabbling in the problems? Laughing through the silly things? Getting a little serious about the infinite ways forward? Good, us too.

Post isn’t a big dark room for us. It’s the big bright beating heart of how any human will understand your story, find themselves in it, understand what you wanted them to understand.

We’re Serious about Post. Big Time.

Rachel Rinkesmith Poth
Executive Producer

Rachel Rinkesmith Poth, formerly Senior Director of Post Production for Branded and Digital at VICE, brings her organizational prowess to Serious Bigtime. She's always believed that making content should be as fun as watching it. That’s why she’s gotten to work with some of the biggest brands in the world, producing attention-grabbing content for Nike, Geico, BMW and more.

Her superpower? Transforming chaotic to-do lists into perfectly executed plans, all while making clients feel like they're on a first-class flight (minus the tiny pretzels). With over a decade managing projects for major brands, she’s like an all-star quarterback, expertly translating complex client needs into efficient realities ensuring every project not only meets but exceeds expectations – keeping timelines tight and clients delighted.

Jake Benjamin
Co-Founder, Director of Post Production

Jake B is an editor and the co-founder of Serious Bigtime. With over two decades in short-form storytelling, he lives for the hunt. Finding the moments that get missed, the vulnerability that’s there if you look, the piece that makes everything else click.

His path into editing wasn’t linear. Once he found it, it was the first thing that made him want to stay. He works in the part of the process where a project stops being a collection of moments and starts becoming a story.

He founded Serious Bigtime with his partners to build the kind of place he needed early on. A place where people actually want to work, where mentorship isn’t optional, and where the work matters as much as the people making it.

Jake's worked on campaigns for Verizon and Google, immersive experiences for Intel at the Olympics, and the opening title sequence for Marvel’s Black Widow. Whether it’s a 15-second spot or a feature title sequence, the job is the same: find the truth in the footage and build from there.

Ashley Roby
Co-Founder, Executive Producer

Ashley’s eclectic career journey from classical dancer to therapist to filmmaker infuses her work with a unique perspective. With over a decade of experience in editing and production, she masterfully crafts narratives that resonate on both physical and emotional levels. Her award-winning projects have played esteemed film festivals like Sundance and SXSW, been featured in The New Yorker and even screened at The White House. With a keen eye for movement and storytelling, she ensures every project captivates and truly connects with audiences.

Whether she's making dynamic short films or leading innovative branded content, Ashley seamlessly bridges the gap between creativity and production. Her passion for art, combined with her ability to understand and translate client needs, makes her an invaluable force in driving the Serious Bigtime's vision forward. Fostering an environment where collaboration thrives, she empowers her team to push boundaries and elevate their craft.
